High Adventure 2008 - Wisconsin Bike Trip
Venture Crew 85's High Adventure for 2008 will be a 7 day Bicycling Tour through southern Wisconsin. Planning is underway for the route, menus, side trips, camping and water locations. The route will mainly follow old railroad beds with slight grades. We are tentatively planning a stop at a Wisconsin Dells Water Park on the drive home. If interested contact Terry for more info.
Petunia Bed Weeding
The Petunia Beds have been completely worked over and are now weed free. We have lost about 1/3 of the petunias to the heavy rain that Dixon received soon after the planting. Terry and Bonnie Nichols noticed that 40 of the plants had been washed down to the south end of the block. They replanted them, but they did not survive. If you are assigned a week to weed the petunias and cannot do it, please switch with someone to make sure that the beds get weeded. A Big Thank You to Terry and Bonnie for replanting, Marcy for getting the ball rolling, Emily for trying to replace the petunias and to Sean, Lynn, Matt and Terry for the hours they spent weeding.
